Luscious Lemon Bars

Preheat oven to 350° F.

Blend together well and press into a buttered 9 x 13 inch pan:

1 cup butter, softened
½ cup powdered sugar
2 cups sifted flour
¼ tsp. salt

Bake 20 minutes.

Beat:

4 eggs

Add to eggs and blend until smooth:

2 cups white sugar
¼ cup sifted flour
1 tsp. grated lemon rind
4 tsp. lemon juice

Pour over baked ingredients. Bake 25 minutes.

Sprinkle powdered sugar on top and cut into squares.
