Mix in a 1-quart bottle:
1 cup olive oil
Either:
¼ cup tarragon vinegar
¼ cup cider vinegar
or:
¼ cup white wine vinegar
¼ cup cider vinegar
¼ teaspoon dried tarragon
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon dried mustard
1 tablespoon powdered sugar (optional)
A pinch of paprika
4 tablespoons mushroom ketchup
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon A-1 sauce
1 tablespoon dried onion flakes, or ½ tablespoon minced fresh onion
1-½ cups tomato juice
1 clove garlic cut into two pieces
Shake well. Do not homogenize in a blender or food processor. Store in the refrigerator.
